Summer Retreat

The hiking and family paradise in South Tyrol.

With their 84 “three-thousanders,” Ahrntal, the Reintal, and the Tauferer Tal comprise the northernmost hiking region in South Tyrol. A vacation area between 860 m and 3499 m with hiking routes for every ability. Wonderful lookout points on simple, medium-difficulty, or demanding hiking paths will make the nature lover’s heart skip a beat.

Those who would like their hiking vacation to be comfortable but still high can reach Speikboden or Klausberg with the mountain railways and find wonderfully well-maintained circular trails there which they can pleasantly explore. The alpine paths offer fantastic glimpses and views of the South Tyrolean mountain world.

Tip: On hot summer days, the high alpine lakes and mountain streams invite the hiker to enjoy a quick cool-down.

Family Adventure

The “Enzwaldile” high rope course in Steinhaus and by Schwarzbachalm above St. Johann, as well as the Klausberg-Flitzer alpine roller coaster, promise action and excitement for the whole family.

During the summer, children from 6 – 12 years old can experience the forest and water, as well as the diversity of South Tyrolean agriculture with its animal life, on the authentic mountain farm with the "Bauernlandzwerge" (Farmland Dwarves) children’s adventure program.
